Historic Blockbuster Store Offers Glimpse of How Movies Were Rented in the Past

Blockbuster Video: A Living Museum?

Some people go to places like Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia to experience the past. Walking among the authentic and reconstructed Colonial homes are actors in period clothing who allow visitors to get a taste of what life was like in days gone by. In this hilarious clip, The Onion News Network suggests that Blockbuster Video, in the age of the Internet, is itself a living museum. Having to actually go to a video store, look for a video that might (gasp!) not be there, exchange cash with a human being, and then, after viewing the movie, go back to the video store to return it shows, says one historical actor, Cathy, how "poignant" and "uncertain" times wereare. "It was very difficult for the people of this period."
