How to Be a Hot Chick Girlfriend

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Jodi Lipper and Cerina Vincent, authors of How to Eat Like a Hot Chick, How to Love Like a Hot Chick, and the upcoming Live Like a Hot Chick. Today they're discussing relationship dos and don'ts.

DO be confident and know that you are an amazing Hot Chick who deserves to love and be loved with passion, honesty, and respect.

DON’T use sex as a gift, weapon, or reward. If you only do the deed to thank him for doing the dishes, you are missing all of the fun, open-hearted spontaneity of a healthy relationship.

DO be honest about what you want and need in your relationship, not to mention the things you want him to change. If you don’t tell him that the beer bottles on the counter drive you nuts or that you want more of a commitment, how is he supposed to know?

To see the rest,

.

DON’T cheat, and that includes flirting or developing emotional intimacy with another man. If you want someone else, break up with your man first and then go and get him. If it’s just a passing spark, don’t mess around with it or you’re sure to get burned.

DO keep your relationship spicy with everything from lingerie to surprises, romantic dates, and tons of fun stuff in between. Get creative and save your relationship from becoming boring and routine.

DON’T give your man an angry ultimatum in response to your ticking clock. Be honest and feel free to calmly communicate your hopes for the future, but hog-tying him and dragging him into a diamond store might not be the best way to get your happy ending.

DO compliment your man! Men are just as insecure as us women (if not more so) and need to be told how hot and sexy they are, too. The better he feels about himself, the better it will be for both of you.

It's really not worth the effort to try to change someone. It doesn't work. I do agree with complimenting guys more though. They really don't get as many compliments as women do.

Yeah, well...I pretty much decided this is a guide for pre-teens, and not thinking, adult women.
