Traditionally, when an establishment uses words in this manner, they are attesting that they are quoting favorable comments made about their place. It's been done forever.

There's a place in the Italian Market here in Philly that has a sign that says "Best Meatballs" in Philadelphia. That always makes me suspicious. :rotfl:

It sounds like they're trying to say, "It really is good. Honest. Really, just try it!" That's about as bad as going to a place that just has the name "An eatery" on the front. If you need a sign for a restaurant telling you what you're supposed to do when you're there. That's bad.
