Matthew Morrison on Dating

Would You Date a Guy Who Said He'd Be a "Bad Boyfriend"?

Matthew Morrison of Glee may have time to take off his shirt for Details and be named one of People's sexiest men alive, but that doesn't leave time for dating.

The 32-year-old told Details he's focusing on his career at the expense of his personal life.

"It's been a while [since dating] . . . I'm not a good friend right now. I'm not a good boyfriend. It's not that I'm selfish. I'm just focused."

If a guy told me he didn't have time for a girlfriend, I would hear "I don't have time for you." But it can be tempting to play along, especially if his actions don't match his words. Would you?

If a guy tells you he is not good for you he is rejecting you. So the answered is no.

He says he's focused, I wouldn't hear that as a personal rejection.

I understand being focused on a career and not having enough time to dedicate to a relationship... My problem is the way he says it. If a guy said "I'm a bad boyfriend" to me, I'd assume he knows there's a big chance I'd just walk away after hearing that... And if he's just fine with that possibility, then he's not a guy I would date.
