O.J. Simpson Sentenced to at Least Nine Years

Click to Read

O.J. Simpson Sentenced to at Least Nine Years O.J. Simpson has been sentenced to at least nine years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel armed robbery by a judge who rejected his apology and said, "It was much more than stupidity." Simpson stood stone-faced Friday when Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment after he pleaded with her that he didn't mean to steal from anybody when he tried to retrieve memorabilia. He appeared ready to break down in tears as he told that he was "sorry and confused" before going into a rambling and emotional five-minute declaration.

Well no deed goes unpunished even if it's years later. "Who is looking for the "real" killers, these days?" - LMAO I wonder???

Yale Galanter and Gabe Grasso are going to have a hell of a time trying to appeal his conviction.

Six years is the minimum sentence O.J. could have received according to the statutory requirements. That would mean that all counts of his wrongdoing would be served concurrently at the minimum sentences. The max he could have received was life. His sentence is clearly pretty moderate, in light of all the crimes he committed. If it was up to me, phony crying and lying during the sentencing phase of a trial would double the sentence. How arrogant can you get?

I think he must serve 9 years before he can be considered for parole. He was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years. He did get off easy because he could have gotten life - but the man is 61 yrs old. I hope he spends at least 20 years there. I was SO glad to see Fred and Kim Goldman there today. If I were them, I would have stood up and waved bye at him as he was walking out. I would want him to remember my face as he sits in that jail for the next 15 years.

Dude, 9 years for robbery? Is that typical. You KNOW those jurors were sentencing him based on his murder trial.

Steph it just wall seems like a way to "backdoor" ( sorry for my Big Brother terminology) the double jeopardy clause.

I would have much preferred prosecutor be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he was a murder, than for someone to go to jail over something as insane as "stealing" your own stuff. I mean I get get it...but REALLY!

It's about freaking time he inhabits a jail cell! Although, he'll probably be out in a month.
