Palin Looks Past Tuesday to Her Political Future With days still to go in the White House race, backers of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin are talking her up as a possible contender in 2012, speculation that irritates other Republicans who contend she's a drag on the ticket and that her lightweight image — unfair or not — will be hard to shed. The Alaska governor has done little to quiet the talk. In fact, she fueled the discussion this week when she signaled that she will remain on the national political scene no matter what happens Tuesday. "I'm not doing this for naught," she said in an interview with ABC News.

It's win-win for Palin, even if she never gets elected or re-elected for another office, because she'll get a lucrative book offer, which someone else will have to write, and then she'll get thousands per gig for speaking engagements, delivering speeches someone else has to write. She's probably going to milk this opportunity for all the future money making potential. I expect she'll have an agent before the end of the year.

I mean, I blame McCain for what has happened to Palin. But I blame him because he CHOSE her to begin with, when he was the experienced one who should have known better, not because I think he made her look bad. She is all sorts of delusional...

She sooooooo polarizing -- this election proves that -- I don't get it.

Well, if she gets the nom in 2012, at least we Democrats can look forward to general election victory, so that's something.

Waah - I want four years to study for tests too! Waah! (Seriously - I am not at all surprised by this, not at all. My soft spot for Mccain was utterly drowned out by this heinous, patronising, blindly ambitious woman who is just another cannonball aimed at lowest-common-denominator thinking. Don't tell me the GOP have no better plans in 2012 than to cynically stick this joker into the front seat? COME ON! ARGHGHGHGH!!!)

I don't know why people including Palin think that she has any future in politics if they lose. Mark my words, she will struggle to be re-elected as governor.

This would be more funny to me if Clinton won the nomination...because Hil vs. Palin? That would be hilarious.

Still think that should have been a picture of Sarah. Unless they are implying something. :ponder:

Golly CG, don't push Todd out of the picture yet, he'll become a liability to be silenced soon enough.
