Parks and Recreation Clip: Every Time a Couple Gets Married, Two Single People Die

"Every Time a Couple Gets Married, Two Single People Die"

That wisdom comes from the usually sunshine-y and eternally optimistic Leslie Knope on last night's episode of Parks and Recreation. She utters this seemingly morbid thought after hearing that her good friends Mark and Ann are planning to get married. But as she explains in the clip below, she's just worried that their possible matrimony means she's losing two good friends to relationshipland.

I have been lucky that most of my married friends maintain the friendships of their single days quite successfully. But friends who have babies are another story; it's tough to have a social life when you have a new baby, and I've found that the nature of those friendships inevitably changes — but that's just life. What's been your experience losing friends to marriage and babies?
