And to the ninja, I'd like you to know that I do indeed know most of what I'm saying. Whenever my people are eating, I tell them, "I want some!" and they usually give me a bite of whatever they are eating. And when I'm sleepy, I tell them, "Ready to go to bed. Gute Nacht. Buenas noches. Good night. I love you" Then someone picks me up and carries me back to my little night-night cage. Then in the morning I tell them, "Good morning. Eat breakfast!" I'm smarter than you think!

The funny part is that parrots don't actually have voice boxes so they're not actually "speaking" when they do imitations... in other words, the speech doesn't actually have any value to the birds. They are just repeating sounds. =)
