Poll: Did Mitt Step Over the Line?

This video shows a heated exchange between Mitt Romney and an AP reporter asking a question about the role of lobbyists in his campaign.

The question goes from tense, to dicey, to nail biting when Romney confronts the reporter afterwards. Check out the scene and let me know if you winced at the end, too!

Boo on the editing of that piece for CitizenSugar. Besides, you left the best part out when a little old lady came up to the reporter and said, I'm not a Romney supporter, but you're RUDE and UGLY! Please post that part of the footage!!

Isn't all media slanted. It sucks that things are cut out and twisted and the general public just eats it up. Props to all of you that realize this video is biased & slanted.

CollegeGirl is right, this video is a little slanted, and the reporter did get annoying at the end. I realized that this video was a shortened version only after I'd commented above.

isnt it kind of their job to deal with rude and disruptive reporters?

That reporter was annoying.

I voted "A little", but really wanted option (E) Other. He was definitely testy, and the fact that he kept repeating the precise same words makes me think he's playing with semantics, and there's something to the story. Although, if the reporter was being disruptive and rude, that's something to consider. I'm just glad to see a reporter asking hard questions. It rarely happens these days.

The reporter was unprofessional and his persistence clearly demonstrated his leftist bias. He hounded him so badly he made himself into the story which is not why he is there. If he thinks this is such an issue then he should write an article about it.

So we get to talk about Mitt doing this, but not Clinton? Good job being balanced DemSugar.

Reporters are supposed to ask uncomfortable questions until they get honest answers, and politicians should know that by now.

This version of the video is missing quite a bit. The actual video from CBS shows the AP reporter being quite rude and interrupting Mitt on more than one occasion to ask the same question over and over again. I don't blame Mitt for getting a little cranky.

Yeah, perhaps ole Mitt doth protest too loudly. While I think the reporter got a little irritating towards the end (I mean, c'mon, it's Romney, you're never going to get a straightforward answer from him.), Romney just dug a hole for himself. But then again that was probably the reporter's intentions to begin with...

I think the reporter was just doing his job. I agree 100% with bigestivediscuit. That was a little unnerving.

Um, if you can't answer tough questions without losing your cool and becoming highly defensive instead of answering with calmness and intelligence, then it says a lot about what you'd be like as a president. *shudder*

LOL - I'm from MA, where he turned our state on its ear, and I'm sure he does have lobbyists, or at least people with lobbyist connections, working on his campaign, and even more possibly advising him.
