I lived abroad for about six months with pretty much no tv or internet (no regular access at least, i was in the UK so it was mostly voluntary) and it wasn't very difficult at all. I read a lot, went out with friends more and knitted. Pretty nice actually.

I think I would die of boredom at work! At home I would be fine, but at work, what would I do?

i think that my trade off to the internet is working out ...i find that when ever i have downtime i think that i should go to the gym (which most of the time i do) or go online to see what's going on in the world.

I've got a few back issues of magazines to catch up on. I read books daily (A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, currently). My preference would be to hang out with friends more, but they're all about an hour away, which isn't convenient for most weeknights.

Read, hang out with my friends, go and take some pictures, photoshop! Hey, internet withdrawal doesn't mean /computer/ withdrawal, does it?

I'd either read a bock (which I do anyway) or play video games.

I'd read more books. Internet kind of bores me anyway so I doubt I'd miss it much.

I would crochet & read more for sure, but I would also have some pretty severe withdrawl. I can go a day or two without it when travelling or visiting my boyfriend, but more than that and I'm constantly finding myself saying "I'll just google thaaaa.....CRAP, no internet!"

I think I would have severe withdrawal. As is, I feel so lost when I have to go a day or two without.* I'm so addicted to this instant access to information. I would find other things to do though. Probably lots more reading. *Exception being when I'm traveling, but that's only because I'm preoccupied with other things.
