The Queen of England might have her Diamond Jubilee, but Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria has Victoriadagen (Victoria Day) — an annual celebration of her birthday. The heir apparent spent her 35th birthday Saturday attending events with her husband and new baby, Princess Estelle, at Solliden Palace, the Summer residence of the Swedish royal family. Her brother, Prince Carl Philip, was also on hand, along with sister Princess Madeleine and her parents, the king and queen.
Crown Princess Victoria actually displaced her handsome younger brother, Princes Carl Philip, as the heir when she was just a child. Carl was formerly the crown prince of the country, until Sweden modified its constitution to allow the eldest child of the monarch to inherit the throne regardless of gender. She went on to marry her personal trainer, Daniel Westling, in 2010, and now their little girl, Princess Estelle, is second in line to the throne. See the festivities now.
