So not only was Brianna and Nathan's wedding an abundant aesthetic delight for the eyes, but it also involved a hilarious tie to the couple's very first date. The memories of your first encounter with your significant other tend to become a relationship foundation that the two of you can always bring up with fondness (even if that first date was a comically uncomfortable one).
For Brianna and Nathan, their first date consisted of talking and watching Arrested Development until the wee hours of the morning. The two, who strived to throw a wedding celebration that aligned with their naturally lighthearted dispositions, decided to incorporate references from the TV show throughout their big day. After a lot of planning and building, they actually re-created the show's Dupper's Original Frozen Banana Stand (swapping in their last name for Bluth, naturally) and served chocolate-covered bananas to their guests.
Aside from the adorable allusions to their budding romance, their wedding had a very authentic vintage feel to it. Brianna even thrifted her dress from a hole-in-the-wall used-clothing outlet! You didn't have to attend the wedding to see just how much thoughtfulness and care the couple poured into creating the perfect day. Here's what the bride herself had to say:
"The look and feel of our wedding turned out to fit our personalities, which was what we were going for. We wanted something simple and fun because we felt like our wedding should be a relaxed time to celebrate the commitment we made with the people we care about. A lot of thought and care went into the decorations, music, food and well, everything else. I think it all came together and that we had exactly the day we wanted."
