Rick Renzi Indicted

Headline: Congressman Rick Renzi Indicted

Arizona Representative Rick Renzi has been indicted on charges connected to an Arizona land deal. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office will be holding a news conference at 12:30 p.m. MST.

The case seems to stem from Renzi pressuring landowners into buying a 480-acre parcel owned by his former business partner, also a major backer of Renzi's political campaign. The deal ultimately netted a $3 million profit, according to Arizona land records.

"Funny, you didn't mention he was Republican....but I somehow already knew. =p" Of course--because all Democrats perfect and infallible. At least this is only a private crime, not a public one. You might compare it to Hillary's futures trading. What about Clinton's fundraising "irregularities"? Anyone remember Sandy Berger? Representative William Jefferson? (Oh, that's right most of us keep $90,000 in our freezers.)

Why do politicians think that they are above the law? Like no one was ever going to figure this out? Good grief.
