Sen. Clinton Says Second White House Run Is Unlikely

Click to Read

Sen. Clinton Says Second White House Run Is Unlikely Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero — slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice. In an interview aired Tuesday on Fox & Friends on the Fox News Channel, Clinton was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate. "Oh, probably zero," she said. "I'm not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be."

I hope she does run again. Personally, I've been an Obama supporter since he announced that he was running for President, but I admire Hillary as well and I think she would do a great job.

""no regard for the constitution"= "I have no idea what constitutional law is, but I know she disagrees with me." This seems awfully rude. How did you come to this conclusion?

"no regard for the constitution"= "I have no idea what constitutional law is, but I know she disagrees with me." I don't believe her either! She also said she wouldn't run for Pres. before, I think she just doesn't want a ton of attention on her until the election is over and Obama wins. Then hopefully she will reap the spoils of being such a good 'lil campaigner.

No i was totally joking! not even half! totally! :) Afterall we dont know that McCain wont do 2 terms right?? Bet that sent shivers down your spine!

Haus, I know you're half joking since we traded the same jokes in PMs, but I only meant it could be wide open with no incumbents in 2016. I'm assuming if Obama wins he will run for re-election in 2012. I didn't word that well. (Unless you mean I'm being arrogant by assuming Obama will win this election. Which, I guess I am. Just reading the numbers.)

OR 2012!!!! you arrogant Obama people!!!! :)

Also, Biden has said that he will be too old to run. That leaves the dem nom up for grabs. I also think the pubs will be in the same position because I don't see Palin running or at least running successfully. It may be wide open again in 2016.

I'm not commenting on whether she meant it or if she might change her mind. Just wanted to add what I know. I wonder if she would turn down the Supreme Court, though. She may see herself as being more effective in the Senate. ANd I also really like "Bloom where you're planted." I may write that on a post it and put it on my computer.

I'm a big fan of the "bloom where you are planted" saying! that made me like her just a bit more

Hey I won't blame her for taking what she's offered! I'd do it too... is she even qualified for something like that though?

TS, sure she says she has no interest, but who turns down an opportunity to be a Supreme Court Justice? Certainly not a woman like Clinton.

Yeah she would never admit any plans to run again until the time was right. I don't know if she will though. If Obama wins she'll be almost 70 (if he has two terms). That's kind of old...oh wait. LOL jk jk ;) ;)

For what it's worth, I saw a long article on these comments earlier (probably the one linked though I didn't check) and she said she was not interested in being a Supreme Court justice, nor she did she being the Majority Leader in her future. She referenced the saying, "Bloom where you're planted."

Well I don't believe her. Nothing against her, its just that people always say that and then end up running anyways! Even Obama said he wouldn't run for president! Plus maybe she's thinking that if she says this than people like our beloved HarmonyFrance (;) ) will def. go vote and not think, Well I'll just wait for HRC to run again! So time will tell!

I would wager Barack is considering Clinton as a Supreme Court Justice. Do we really need another Justice with no regard for the constitution?
