1st of all starladear, you can't compare scientology to Christianity...we'll leave that at that. The South Park episode was intended to be funny, not informative. That show pokes fun at everybody. GROW A FUNNY BONE! Come on, acording to Family Guy, God is a jigalo that knocked Mary up & took off, leaving her to be a teenage single mother. I guess everyone ain't as fun loving as I am. Issac Hayes accually quit the show after this episode. PRUDE!

I am a Scientologist and I don't believe in any of that. I am like a totally active Scientologist and have reached the so-called "high levels". I go to the church every single week and I have done for years. I even used to work there and that episode of South Park is just a lie. It's just not true. It seems odd that people would make up something like that, but it really is made up and it is just not true and I can't believe that people think that we really believe that. It's bad, and it blows my mind that in this modern day people can still be so bigoted towards something simply because it is a new idea. I guess I should feel lucky that at least we're not facing an Inquisition or something. Christianity was a new thing once too and people eventually got over that... so maybe in time people will stop mocking me and saying that I'm a cult member who believes in alien war lords. Hopefully???

I love the end of this episode with Stan screaming SO SUE ME and then everyone in the closing credits is named John Smith ( or something). This is the best South Park episode ever!!! hihi

Isaac Hayes actually didn't quit in person. A spokeswoman for Scientology quit for him. And since he had a stroke and his only income was from South Park (he hasn't had any royalty payments since the 70's), a lot of people (including the South Park creators) think the Scientologists quit for him without his permission. And yes, that description really is what the Scientologists believe. But you don't actually get to learn about Xenu and the craaaazy ridiculous stuff until you're a higher level and have already spent thousands. They don't want you dropping out early, you know.

Oh Ok, I thought it was also because of how racy it was.

Yeah, it was Issac Hayes. He didn't quit because it was raunchy, he quit because they were making fun of scientology.

The chef on South Park actually quit the show because it was so raunchy. He said it was against his religios. He's a scientologist.

If I may say so without offending anyone, this is the most ridiculous religion ever!
