Would you force someone to drink the tea you made if they kindly declined? Most likely, no. The same goes for consent. In the above video, a British police department compared inviting someone to tea and consent — the simple analogy truly drives the point home. For example, just because someone wanted tea last week doesn't mean they want tea today. Or, unconscious people don't want tea [1], because they are unconscious. Really, there are so many possible situations explained by this PSA. It's a reminder of just how clear consent really is and should be.
