Top McCain Surrogate Hesitates to Endorse Attack on Obama McCain's claim that Barack Obama would rather lose the war than lose the presidential race hasn't gotten the endorsement of Florida Governor Charlie Crist, potential veep. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough pressed Crist at least three times on whether he agrees with the notion that Obama wants to lose the war, and each time, Crist ducked, finally saying: "I have no idea. I would hope not."

stephley just fyi I think it's cojones. Anyway, it sounds like this was just wishy-washy. Saying "I don't know. I hope not" is hardly rejecting the absurdity of McCain's claim.
