Real-life hipster Ariel has ditched the warm waters of the ocean for an Frozen-inspired Winter wonderland. Traci Hines [1], whose Little Mermaid wedding [2] tops our list of favorite Disney princess celebrations ever, is representing another leading lady with her new cover of "Let It Go." Traci channels Elsa as she re-creates the song that will be stuck in your head for days. Here's more about the process of making the video, from the singer herself:
I wanted to cover "Let It Go" and bring it into my own musical style — orchestral pop with some electro/dance influences thrown in! I wanted to do something a little different and unexpected with it, while still keeping that Disney magic. I covered the original film version of the song (sung by Idina Menzel) but also added some elements from the Demi Lovato pop version too. With my Disney music videos especially, I do my best to bring these characters to life in the most realistic, fantastical way possible for the kids (and kids at heart!) who watch them. There's something really magical about getting to become a Disney or fairytale character for the day, and tell their story.
This California girl braved the cold (and a cold!) to sing amidst a palace of ice and snow (at the Midway, UT Ice Castle [3]), and it was the most beautiful experience. I hope this video makes Frozen fans smile! It was made with a lot of love!
