Vintage Ad For Womens Only Hotel

Flashback: A Hotel For Women Who Know

If you try to read between the lines, this ad for a girls'-only hotel for "women who know" seems like it's promoting a spot for secret lesbian liaisons. Although, I could see the appeal to a place like this for a woman traveling alone. Plus, it's cheap!

What! "secret lesbian liaisons" Oh grow up already. I didn't get that thought at all. This would have been a wonderful place for women traveling alone with kids, or needed to keep their presence hidden from men that were possibly harming them. A rape victim would also feel more protected in a place like this, until she knew where else she could go for the proper help. To see a man in this hotel would be a big no no so the management, workers, and other guest would have known something was out of place. Too bad there aren't safe hotels like this for women today....and just one floor for business women doesn't cut it either, it's not the same. There have been thousands of women that have gone missing from regular hotelsmotels nowadays, and there have been thousands of rapes in hotels as well.

This is probably nothing more than an ad for a hotel....not a lesbian hotel. Women only hotels have been around before and they are making a come back. Some big name hotels have created women only floors, geared to the growing number of female business travelers.

Although, I guess you could also look at it another way and think that a lot of creepers would be lurking around outside if they knew it was all women.

^ I agree. As long as male visitors were allowed, I'd love living at an all-girl apartment complex. I'd feel safer.

Grace Kelly stayed at an all-women's hotel when she first began modeling in NYC. I would love for women's only hotels and apartment complexes to make a comeback. (As long as men were allowed to visit, of course!) There's just something that feels safe and comforting about that.
