What Do You Love Most About the Holidays?

Listening to Mariah Carey's holiday album. Munching on my mom's powdered sugar Christmas cookies. Waking up early to open presents. Getting tipsy with my cousins at Christmas dinner. These are a few of my favorite (holiday) things. Since it's Christmas Eve, I want to know: what do you love most about the holidays?

hot mulled cider, the smell of the tree when you walk in the house, and cuddling with my hubby on the couch with no lights on except the x-mas tree. And I love baking snickerdoodles and giving them out. I make the best snickerdoodles.

Making cookies/candy and cooking for/with my family!!!! And presents, of course. My four year old and I made some delicious chocolates with caramel & pecans or peanut butter & pretzels to give to my side of the family and to her dad's (my ex) side of the family. Then my brother told me he ate one and there was a big dog hair in it! I mixed ingredients but she put them together by herself. I swear I thought she was keeping her hands clean. I've eaten a TON of them and haven't found a single hair- maybe it was just the one. Now, I come from a very caring family full of dog lovers, so I'm sure my family won't be too mad if they get a dog hair to two. But his family, they are some of the most judgmental and uptight people I have ever met in my life. So I called the ex's dad and said, "We made them, they're yummy, they might be full of dog hairs." And he said, bring them over anyway. So at least they've been warned, right? And I can't help but smile to think that a few of them might end up with a mouth full of hair.
