What Are You Sorry For?

I just came across a clever new website — — which gives people "Options, Opportunities, Possibilities and Solutions (OOPS), to deal with the 'OOPS' that happen in life." Members can anonymously make amends to people they've hurt or disappointed, and they can ask for an apology from someone else too.

Saying I'm sorry isn't always easy, so if there's something you need to get off your chest, tell us what you're sorry for, and be sure to check out!

I'm sorry I waste my time on people who really don't love me, but only use and manipulate me.

I would think though that in apologizing to the person on this site would give them a clue to who you were by the description of what you were apologizing for and make it not anonymous? I think it is a cool idea.

I think this is so lame. Yet another excuse to sit at your computer and have online "relationships" with people, never having to get off of your ass to meet or interact face to face. Totally cowardly...what is happening to people? As much as I have enjoyed this site and have interacted with some nice folks, it is not the same as getting out there with your friends or meeting new people face to face. If someone sent me an apology through something like this, I would be so insulted. If you have hurt me, pick up the fucking phone and call.

I think apologies should be personal, not anonymous. I don't think I have too many regrets, but looking back, I'm sorry for being such a brat to my parents sometimes when I was in college. They always tried to help me out when they could, but I always thought my mom was hypercritical and overprotective. I know I was more than a little rude to her on many occasions.

I was just about to post the same, Bella! The whole point of apologising is swallowing your pride and being honest with the person, I can't see how posting something online is going to help?

Skigurl, I'm sorry I wasted three hours of my life in front of the TV too — but I'll be honest, I'm going to do it again tight — after the final rose part 2!!!

I don't understand the concept of anonymously apologizing to people. It might alleviate the guilt, but... you still haven't apologized to the people you've wronged. I suppose it might be cathartic if you're apologizing to someone who has died, or to a stranger on the street. But for real apologies, I'm all about doing it in person!

I don't have many regrets in life, but I *am* very sorry for the way I ended my friendship with my college roommate 10 years ago...I've wanted to talk to her and apologize to her for several years now, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
