I moved to a new city three months ago and still haven't found a decent place to live. I'm living in a cheap hotel at the moment and really want a place to call home! I've lost out on a few apartments that I really wanted because demand was so high, and I also had to turn one beautiful place down because it had been broken into twice. I feel like I am never going to find a place! It's been very stressful but I am trying to stay positive.

My pup getting sick and being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of canerous tumor in her nose and being told I'd have to put her down in a few months (my last dog also died of cancer and I had to put her down too). Another is having to pay over $3,000 at the vet hospital in NYC to reach this diagnosis (and now trying to pay it all off from money on credit or borrowed). Plus my hamster died. Not my best year ever.

Being more successful in my job. I'm an I-9 contract employee with a great firm but the first year was very tough.. There were many times I didn't have a dollar to my name and couldn't drive until I got a check to buy gas with (and gas was crazy expensive).. but it's definitely paid off because this year has been amazing and I'm looking forward to being more successful next year

1) getting married in feb and the fall-out from his family. 2) our firm's potential merger (which never did happen -- lots of worrying for nothing!) and the fact that my boss left for greener pastures in august.

Oh, so many ... I can't choose just one. I'm a huge worrywart but this year had some new challenges! 1. The whole house-buying process - whether we were ready, all the mechanics of finding and financing it (one week until we close the deal), and now, in two weeks, the move. 2. Figuring out if I'll have a job in 6 months, whether I want to keep this job and what I should do instead. (All of these still in process!) 3. Trying to be a better wife and figuring out what I can ask my husband to do to be a better husband. The first few months of the year had some rough spots; better lately but there's always room for improvement.
