2 Women Just Fought Off an Armed Robber With . . . Dildos?

Just when we thought 2016 couldn't possibly get any weirder, it did. Shocker. Some interesting surveillance footage just surfaced showing two women defending themselves from an armed robber using an unexpected self-defense mechanism: sex toys.

The two women are employees of Lotions and Lace, an adult store in San Bernandino. As they closed up shop one evening, a masked man entered the store and approached the counter with a gun in hand. But they were having none of that. "I just thought he was trying to be funny, to scare us," store employee "Amy" told ABC7. "But then I saw the gun and it was like, really? I don't have time for this."

When the man pointed the gun at Amy and attempted to reach over the counter, her co-worker began throwing dildo after dildo at him in self-defense. After what appeared to be some intense yelling, the man fled the scene empty-handed. The tweet above shows footage of the entire encounter (fast forward to 0:18 to witness the dildo-chucking).

To be clear, this is not the ideal way to handle a situation like this, as San Bernandino police said they do not recommend confronting armed robbers. Regardless, we can't help but chuckle and secretly admire these badass ladies. Power to the dildo!
