This Burlesque Dancer Wants You to Call Her Fat
Burlesque performer Lillian Bustle doesn't care that people think she is fat. In fact, she agrees. In her recent TEDx Talk, she opened up about her experiences being on the receiving end of fatphobia and her path to self-acceptance. In her talk, she says that being beautiful isn't what people think about us but a choice that we make about ourselves. "Most of us sit around waiting for permission, for affirmation, for some other to swoop in and tell us that we're worthy, that we're beautiful. It doesn't have to be like that . . . you get to do it. You get to wake up one day and decide that you're beautiful." See her amazing message below.
