This San Diego Zoo Wedding Had Some "Wild" Party Crashers — Giraffes!
Kristin and Andrew are huge animal-lovers, so it was an obvious choice for them to wed at the Kijamii Overlook in the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The pair wanted their wedding to feel like a safari, so the luscious open fields with animals like giraffes, rhinos, and gazelles was absolutely perfect. After the ceremony, the reception was held in a South African-inspired lodge, which featured an actual baobab tree that was converted into a bar. The whole wedding had an exotic-rustic vibe thanks to the various shades of green and brown, which really enhanced the safari theme.
One of the highlights from this wedding are the first-look photos, and Andrew was totally awe-struck when he first saw Kristin in her wedding gown. The couple was surrounded by friends and family as they said "I do" at the zoo, and it seems like they all had a great time celebrating Kristin and Andrew's love. "Guests dance and mingle around the fire pit as the sun goes down," said photographer Monique Dao, who was there to capture the gorgeous event. "This wedding is nothing short of a storybook fairy tale that transports you into a different place and time." We could not agree more, so make sure to check out these stunning photos!
