"I think one of the easiest shifts – and one of the cheapest shifts really because if you want to start going really granola with this process you can make your own cleaning products for pennies – is looking at what you’re using to clean your home. The EPA has suggested that the air inside your home is 3-5 times more polluted than the air outside the home – that’s mainly much because the products used to clean the home, and off-gassing from products and paint. The piece of that puzzle that you can really control is the cleaning part. It’s just as simple as turning over the label of your product and if there are lots of chemical names that you don’t really understand, my recommendation would be to look for something that you can read the label and really understand what’s in it – vinegar, essential oils, those things are all really safe for us to breathe."
