In her latest season of Inside Amy Schumer, the ubiquitous comedian has tackled frustrating topics like vanity sizing [2], gun control [3], and now, alternative childbirth methods.
In a promo for one of her upcoming sketches, Schumer pokes fun at different pregnancy trends that maybe take things a little too far. Enter: the sea turtle birth method. This fictional practice is described as, "When you give birth on a beach, and you dig a small hole, and you kick sand on the baby, and you see if it crawls into the ocean or into your arms. It's better for the baby."
Schumer then interrupts with her au naturel plan. She says, "I just don't trust Western medicine at this point — that's why I'm having my baby on the highest mountaintop in Tibet, as far from real medical help as is humanly possible. My doula's a Sherpa."
