My daughter is quite a lady when it comes to eating — not very messy and finishes by turning her nose up and away to motion, "I'm done." But, sometimes the bananas get the best of her and her clothes. A friend warned me to beware of the big banana stink.

Bananas are great sources of nutrition for baby, but terrible for wardrobes. If a banana gets on clothes, it's sometimes hard to notice it right away, as they tend to leave a light slimy substance. But if you let it sit too long, that "nana" mark will soon turn into a dark mildewy spot that can permanently stain your tot's clothing.

So the lesson is to wash your kiddo's clothing often – especially if you have been serving those pesky bananas.
