Flintstones, meet the Flintstones. . . . The next generation is being introduced to the Pebbles and Bam Bam, The Jetsons, Banana Splits, and more cartoons via Boomerang, a cable network broadcasting classic animated shows around-the-clock. While vegging out in front of the boob tube may have been part of a child's daily routine back in the day, viewing time is now a hot topic among parents.

Watching shows like Tom and Jerry as an adult, it's hard not to notice how simple the plot lines were and to catch more than a few politically incorrect phrases. Many episodes include inappropriate language, violence, and women commonly in the homemaker role. Do you allow your children to watch retro TV shows, or do you prefer the more progressive modern ones?
