Reader Tips For Breastfeeding Pain Relief

I recently shared with you my recommendations to reduce breastfeeding pain and readers responded with their own tricks! Here is a sampling of what LilSugar mamas had to say.

  • The Medela Hydrogel Pads are awesome! They are pricey, so I only used them in the beginning when my nipples were really mangled. You wet them and put them in the fridge while you are nursing, and then put them on over your lanolin when you are done. I healed SO quickly thanks to these! — Anonymous
  • Olive oil works the same as Lansinoh. — Anonymous
  • Lansinoh! Lansinoh! Hands down for chapped skin. Nothing else worked for me and it was safe for baby and I only used in the first few weeks. — commonsense
  • Earth Mama Angel baby nipple cream worked MUCH better than lanisnoh for me....esp. with cracked skin. I HIGHLY recommend it. — aembry396
