Great article. To me, having some independence at camp is so important. Growing up, it was so nice to have a break from my parents to discover who I was without their influence, even when I was only 9 or 10. It was also very empowering to step out of my comfort zone while trying new activities. I learned I was an awesome archer! And oddly enough, I am a TERRIBLE marksman. I can't even hit the target. So it taught me than in my adult life, I should never own guns.
