What is up with holysnap? Reading is not overrated. Reading is good! It's been proven, and I've seen it myself. I used to teach elementary school (as young as 1st graders). And you can tell which kids weren't exposed to books early or at all. My 3-year old loves books! We've started reading to her since she was in the womb. She has lots of favorites. I'd add: - Jamberry - The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Brown Bear, Brown Bear and anything else by Eric Carle to the list.

We love Goodnight Moon. My boys are almost 3 and we have read it almost every night since they 4 months old. Now, my boys know the words and love to point out all the items in the pictures. It is the last book we read every night before we turn off the light.
