Parents in Florida are taking entertainment at kids' parties to an extreme. For $175, you can rent a special guest to put in the pool with your children and their guests: a baby alligator!

Alligator wrangler Bob Barrett, who came up with the idea, and who makes sure the mouths of the alligators are taped shut before delivering them to children's events, says "It's a very popular party." Kids also get a lesson in animal safety before they are allowed to jump in.

I live in Florida & I have never heard of this! I would never do this & I doubt any of my friends with young children would either.

Seriously? What ever happened to pin the tail on the donkey and a piñata? Do we really need to tape a poor baby alligator's mouth shut and subject it to swimming around frightened in a pool in order to entertain our children? What the hell?!?

Its not safe to kids at all either, they see a baby aligator and jump in a pond and good bye toes
