If there's one thing teenagers need to learn, it's that nothing goes unnoticed by parents. We're talking sneaking out in the middle of the night, lying about staying out late, and even cheating during a simple game of Mario Kart — parents just have a sixth sense, and whether they decide to call their kid out on it is up to them. One 13-year-old girl learned this lesson the hard way, thanks to an impressive (and kind of evil) prank from her father.
YouTube user olclops explained that his daughter Vivian has been working on her portfolio for her application to a visual arts high school for years, but her acceptance letter came with a clause about her recent video-gaming antics. "I didn't get in," she says tearfully while opening the letter, but her father insists she read it out loud, and that's when the tears turned into jumping around and cheering.
"While your portfolio and audition were each outstanding, another matter has come to our attention," the letter reads. "We regret that we cannot offer a position at our school to anyone who would unpause a game of Mario Kart while her opponent was out of the room. You are free to reapply in the future once you learn to behave like a decent human being."
After the disappointment settled, Vivian soon realized this rejection letter was prime dad joke material, so her dad handed her the real letter to read, which said she was accepted! Watch the hilarious video above; and, parents, take note: this is how you teach a lesson about cheating.
