Dad of the Year Proves That Sometimes Parenting Requires Tough Love

A father who attended the Cleveland Cavaliers game on March 24 got to see his team pull out a close win over the Charlotte Hornets, but unfortunately he had to celebrate that alone, as his son, who was supposed to be there with him, couldn't attend due to his bad grades. In a photo posted to Reddit by another fan at the game, the dad can be seen with a sign that has the Cavaliers logo on it, but that's not all — there's a crying face emoji and the statement: "Thomas, get your grades back up and next time you'll be here. Love, Dad."

Although the sign is savage, we've got to give it to this dad; he's showing his son some tough love, which is difficult for some parents. We don't know much else about this dad, but it's safe to say he's a strong contender for Dad of the Year. Hopefully Thomas gets his grades up and gets to attend the next game!
