"All Our Plans Fell Apart": Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Open Up About Their Emergency C-Section

While giving birth via C-section isn't uncommon in Hollywood, it's not the way Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake originally thought their son Silas would enter the world. In an excerpt of The Nanny Connie Way: Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood, Entertainment Tonight revealed Jessica and Justin had an at-home, natural birth plan back in 2015. They were equipped with "two midwives, one doula, one meditation birthing class, [and] a ton of hippie baby books" before their strategy changed drastically.

"When all our plans fell apart and the serene, natural childbirth we had envisioned ended with a transfer to the hospital and an emergency C-section, we arrived home exhausted, disillusioned, and totally in shock," Jessica shared. "I was obsessed with everything organic, toxin-free, natural, and homeopathic for our kid, who came into this world in an operating room through an incision. I was a dictator, making myself and my husband insane!"

Although it wasn't in the way they expected, the incredible couple welcomed Silas to their family on April 8, 2015. Now, almost three years later, they're spending time together while Justin's on tour. The proud dad revealed he definitely wants to expand his family even further, so hopefully another baby Timberlake is in our future!
