Did You Spot During Pregnancy?

A few drops may be enough to get a mama-to-be worried, but 20 to 30 percent of pregnant women experience some bleeding. According to the American Pregnancy Association, vaginal bleeding can occur frequently in the first trimester and may not indicate problems. Did you experience this while with child?

I spotted through out my whole pregnancy. I was on and off bed rest. My body just really didn't agree with pregnancy. My Doctor said that when I would spot it was my bodies way of telling me to slow down. Although my body didn't agree with being pregnant my daughter was born in perfect health.

Currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first, and I had some brown spotting on and off for about two weeks from week 12 to week 14. My doctor said I may have overdone it on the exercise and irritated my cervix, so I was on pelvic rest for a bit as a precaution. But it was nothing serious.

I had spotting with my 2nd but it was nothing, I had no spotting or anything of the sort with any of the my other 3 pregnancies.

I had some gushing blood when I was about 6 weeks pregnant with my oldest. It wasn't "nothing" but it wasn't serious either. I had to go on bedrest for a few days, then "pelvic rest" until there'd been no blood for at least 48 hours, then had a follow up ultrasound to be sure things were fine. They were, thankfully. I had two micarriages as well, both before 6 weeks, and obviously those involved bleeding.
