You may have dreams of walking out of the hospital in your pre-pregnancy jeans, but don't fool yourself. Most women walk (or are wheeled) out of their birthing center with a baby in their arms, a smile on their face, and a belly that still looks like it is 5-6 months pregnant. Breastfeeding, corset-like bands, and plain old-fashion dieting will help the torso shrink, but many mamas find that they have a permanent "pouch" even once they reach their pre-pregnancy weight.
