If you've ever tried to snap a photo of a small child, you're well aware of just how much of a joyless dumpster fire difficult it can be. Recently, one brave family tried to capture a sweet holiday-themed photo [1] of not one, but six young children — Hudson, Carter, Abby, Ben, Sophie, and Luke — and holy mother of pearl, what an ambitious feat. Mary Dy, a student from Evansville, IN, took a hilariously chaotic video of her extended family trying to get their kiddos' attention [2], and let's just say it doesn't disappoint.

"I have four sisters and my three oldest sisters all have kids," Mary told POPSUGAR. "It was just our normal Christmas photo. My mom uses one every year for her Christmas card, and they all do this every year. Most of the kids couldn't really care less. I think maybe one of the children ended up smiling."
