Fruit Skewers for Kids

Lil Tip: Fun Fruit Skewers For Lil Fans

Spicy Buffalo wings and salsa aren't exactly kid friendly Super Bowl snacks. To make sure your children are well fed and entertained, put out bowls full of fruit, some mini marshmallows, and give them bamboo skewers to make fruit kebabs.

First, soak the skewers for a couple of hours to keep them from splintering into the skin or food. Start the kebabs by putting a marshmallow on first. Then load the stick up with the tasty fruits. Some good ones to use are grapes, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, bananas, kiwi and cantaloupe. Then top it off with another white puffy treat.

*This activity is best for children who are old enough to work with skewers, eat marshmallows and consume chunks of fruit.
