See the Emotional Gesture These Elementary School Teachers Made For Their Students

Often, students believe that their teachers are these ethereal beings who exist only in the school environment, but like other adults, teachers have lives, and they have days when they just don't feel like going to work. The teachers at Barron Elementary School decided to tell their students, the ones who make it a little easier to get out of bed every day, how much they mean to them.

The project, called the Important Student Project, called for teachers to choose one student to film while they shared their gratitude from behind the camera. The project was born out of the simple fact that the average person speaks about 16,000 words a day, and one teacher, Mr. Ben Braden, wanted to help his co-workers to make sure those words count — and man, did they count.

"When I come to work, I look forward to seeing you because of your genuine heart.

You're special to me and you're really important to me because you ask me how my day is. You make me excited to get up every morning and come to school to teach you."

Watch the adorable video to hear more of the teachers' inspiring words and to see the children's sweet reactions.
