Jimmy Kimmel Halloween Prank 2013

Jimmy Kimmel's Halloween Prank Brings Screams, Tears, and Some Swears

The decorations and costumes have been put away, but Halloween isn't over until the candy's gone. For the victims of Jimmy Kimmel's annual Halloween candy prank, that came sooner than expected. Once again, the late night TV host asked parents to tell their children that they ate all of their treats and film it for millions to see. From screams to a few sarcastic remarks (and even a few unexpected swear words?!), the reactions will have you laughing till next Halloween.

I love this video. It's a pretty good joke, and that's what it really is, just a JOKE. The only kid I thought was out of line was the boy in the car trying to break things with his feet. If he was my child I would have made him throw away his candy for acting that way. I am really happy to see some of the kids tell their parents that it was ok and they still used their manners while still being sad. It was a pretty good joke though. I might just have to try it next year.

Oh good lord, these comments make my stomach turn. So many of you are actually mad or disturbed by a JOKE? Laaaaawd.

This is a great way to imprint on your child that your are not trust worthy. Sure it may seem funny to watch but think if the damage you are causing your poor child. There are many studies saying this is terrible to do to your children. I can safely say I won't be doing this to my kids!!

Thank you Carla. I am surprised that there is not more outrage about this so-called "game". A deliberate attempt to lie to a child to make them cry or lash out is sick and twisted. Sick. Twisted. Children are not pawns for our amusement.

I seldom use the word "stupid". But now, this video where parents tell their little kids who collected candies for Halloween the day before and cherished them, that they, the parents, ate them all. The responses of the kids are from crying to sadness or to anger, and are filmed in order to be viewed by others and supposedly meant to be "funny". Really??? Isn't that a STUPID game? Wouldn't these parents laugh when their kids would take their favorite or special "whatever"? Is that funny, to make 3,4 or 5 year old cry? I think it's not respectful towards their feelings, hurting their trust, laughing about them when they cry, ... Aren't so many parents complaining that children are not respectful to adults? Well, LIVE the example! It's hurting the magic around the excitement of such a day. It's the bullying act: taking by force something away just because you are bigger and stronger, and then laugh at their misery? That's called sense of humor???? To those who think this is funny: go and learn what compassion and empathy is, and respect! A good sense of humor is something you cannot learn by modeling, unfortunately. Shame on this stupidity.
