Kate Gosselin

Wonder Woman: Kate Gosselin

Lynda Carter's got nothing on Kate Gosselin, star of Discovery Channel's Jon and Kate Plus 8 and mother of 7-year-old twins — Cara and Madelyn and 3-year-old sextuplets —Alexis, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Hannah and Joel.

Beyond Kate's ability to coupon clip her way to $600 monthly grocery bills, color coordinate her children's outfits and make pancakes from scratch, the 32-year-old maintains her humor amid all the controlled (and uncontrolled) chaos.

But mainly, we'd like to give the former nurse turned stay-at-home-mother kudos for keeping her sanity and a positive attitude while raising eight amazing lil darlings. And, for providing us viewers a glimpse into what life is like with two sets of multiples.

I love this show and I wish people would just back off of the family. Why do you think they are bad because someone told you that someone else told them that blah blah. The kids are adorable and John and Kate are great parents. Why can't some people just lay off that and stop making it their main goal in life to make others feel bad. Personally I'm 14 years old and suffer from extreme depression. John and Kate plus 8 brings me some joy every week. Knowing I get to see those kids doing new things just makes my week a heck of a lot brighter. I think those people who pride themselves in spreading negative gossip about a family who is just trying to make it in life and get through each day need to find something better to do with their time. Get over it! and find something better to do with your time. Let those of us who care have some joy ever Monday at 8/7c.

Massagechik, I would love to know where you heard that! Kate is totally OCD but I am a little too. I do admit, she yells at Jon alot but you can tell she really loves him. She would be totally lost without him! She can be very rude but imagine the stress! I want to see how long you guys would last with eight kids. Jon is so funny. He is the whatever parent... thank God! Those kids need a break after a while from boot camp Kate. Cara is so sweet. Though she has her stressed out outbursts, at least they're rare! Mady can be extremely bratty and immensly annoying. Hopefully she will get over herself... I will keep praying for her... Alexis is so cute and funny. She is hyper and I love that "aldergador" thing! Hannah is so adorable. I love her high-pitched voice and her sweet little face. She is a tiny little adult. Aaden is adorable with his cute tiny galasses! Collin looks like a sad puppy with his droopy eye... so cute! Leah is the cutest thing! I love her tiny little voice. In the episode where Jon hid in the closet during hide-and-seek and Joel said "I think Daddy went to work" and she replied "No he didn't" with a tiny aditude made me rewind it over and over just to watch that little girl. Joel is so cute and cuddly. Poor little thing is the "youngest" of all eight. I will be praying for the Gosselins. Praying for their marriage, their kids (especially Mady), and just plain them!

You took the words right out of my mouth TinyDancer. I watch both shows, Jon & Kate and also the shows about the Duggars and they are very different but they also lead very different lifestyles. I love them both because it makes me grateful that I only have three boys and it makes my life seem that much easier. At least while I'm watching the show, then it's back to the chaos of having children, any number of children, it's still chaos. Kudos to both sets of parents, though, for keeping it so together and being such wonderful and caring people.

Regarding the comment about their marriage as well as the Duggar family... I think a crucial difference between the Duggars and the Gosselins to remember is that the Duggars kids are not all under the age of 6 (or 7?). I would imagine that it would make it somewhat easier to have a range of ages. The Duggars have children that are older than 20 (I believer) and they can help out. I agree that Kate can be on the harsh side, and that their marriage does not appear to be great. However, they DO communicate with one another, which is more that I can say for a lot of marriages in America today. I had the chance to see them speak live last month and during the q and a session I asked them how they find time to work on their relationship. They both talked about when the kids are asleep they really get the chance to reconnect and discuss the days events. Most couples can discuss problems as they arrive. Jon and Kate just have to get through the situations and then they can deal with it later. I feel like we see 1 hour of their life a week and they probably film 100 times more than that. We have no clue how they edit. Just my thoughts :)

I don't have any kids yet but I have my DVR set up to record this show each week. I love to watch each of the kids and see each of the little personalities. Kate is an amazing mother in my eyes. I don't know how I will do with one much less how I would cope with eight. She and Jon are great parents and as for the attitude when you have eight kids you are going to snap at each other. It is cute to see how much they do love each other in the inteviews. The other night they were talking about how they met. I just think they are doing a fabulous job and both deserve a superstar Mom and Dad poster. They are also very lucky to have close family and friends to help out when needed.

I love this show. I think they are amazing parents. I love how they make sure they get them out to pick pumpkins, go to parades, and other outting so the kids remember all the family traditions when they get older. You can see they make it a point to do these things and don't let the fact that they have 8 kids stop them. Even though they do have so many kids, they really do have a normal life.

I have to watch this show when i am alone, my husband HATES the way Kate treats her husband. I can understand where he is coming from he say that she treats him like another child, but I know that sometimes when you have the personality (type A) that she has words come out wrong. They love eachother very much, its very apparant. I cant get hannah saying "hi mommy, hi mommy, hi mommy" out of my head.

I've watched this show with my husband (Dad in 18 weeks) and we agree that she's not really a nice person. I don't think their marriage is all that great. She's a little uptight. There's another show about the Duggers that have 16 children (at last count) and she's got her sh*t together.

I love this show, and commend them for the great job they are doing. It's challenging for me with 2 boys of different ages, I couldn't even imagine being in that situation.

Jon definitely deserves his own Superdaddy post! I love the interview clips during the show when the couple talk about their relationship and the kids personalities, etc.

I love this show, was watching the marathon this weekend. Extra glad there was only one little heartbeat at my ultrasound last Wednesday.

Ya know, that situation is just crazy...and only in the best way. That family is so blessed. Those children are well taken care of and have two parents who love them and meet their needs. I think they are doing an amazing job...I mean could you imagine...EIGHT children!!!??? Some can't hack one child. As for Kate being excessively mean or liking things a certain way. Uhm, has no one seen that her husband dishes it out as well...maybe not as obvious, but is Kate not the one who is with the kids the majority of the time? And she has to maintain some sort of organization or it would be utter chaos! The woman is doing something right...both parents are, they are an awesome family unit.

I was watching he show yesterday also. I love watching how well she keeps her composure during some situations. She seems very organized. We could defenitely learn a thing or two from her.

I don't watch it often as it stresses me out, I don't think I could do any better or keep it together as well as she does ;-) That was the first time I had caught the intro and with what she said about them wanting just one more, it scared the crap out of my hubby ;-)

Macgirl, they've talked a lot about how they used fertility treatments to get pregnant both times...they knew the possibility for multiples was high but never thought there would be sextuplets...I agree that she doesn't always talk very nicely to her husband, but I cut her some slack since she's got 8 little people under her feet all there are some moments where you can tell that they're really in love.

I had this on for a little bit yesterday. My poor husband was watching from afar and the look on his face was PURE FEAR. I thought I might be able to talk him into having another one in a few years but I think after I pop this little guy out he will be done. ;-) The intro on the show kind of makes it seem like "oh we had twins and just wanted one more, oops we got 6 instead". I have a feeling there was some science involved as most people don't just accidentally have 6... I could be wrong though.

I love the show. I dont have kids and it definitely makes me want to stick to two at the most. Yeah she gets cranky and has a short fuse but when trying to control 8 kids and keep everything in order I bet all of us would too. With that many kids you HAVE to have a system and when things dont go right it makes you crazy. You can tell that they have a good marriage though I hate the opening credits to the show when they show her belly full of kids. It scares me
