Kristina Fakes Orgasm on NBC's Parenthood

Ever Faked an Orgasm Because You're a Mom?

Last night on Parenthood, Kristina admitted to Max's behavioral therapist, Gaby, (and later to Adam) that she has faked orgasms because she is so preoccupied with her kids. She said:

The worry never goes away. I find myself up late at night just worrying about Max and is there something we should have tried, something we should try. When I'm not worried about him, I worry about the fact that I am not worried about Hattie. When I'm not worried about Hattie — it just never stops, you know? Adam and I maybe get a chance to spend some time alone — just together — some miracle chance. I just cannot stop worrying long enough to enjoy anything. Anything — a movie, a nice dinner, or sex.

Has being a mom ever gotten in the way of your sex life?

I'm with you Betty! I am not mom when the door closes and the clothes come off. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been preoccupied with something else during sex. I don't want it any other way!

I've never faked and I never will. Orgasms don't come all that easy for me (no pun intended!) anyway, so when they do they're pretty special and awesome. Why lie to my husband? Sex is still plenty of fun without orgasms, and I think sometimes that should be enough. Worrying about faking an orgasm and whether he believes it is just one more thing to worry about! :P

Faked an orgasm because I'm too busy worrying about a mom? First, childless women are just as worried and busy in their own ways, it's not just moms. Second, I'm not a MOM when I'm having sex, I'm a sex goddess. I rarely think during sex... and I sure as hell don't think about vaccines and boo-boos. Right now 60% said yes... seriously? This sort of offends me... I can't say why though... whatever, it's just some goofy quote from TV.

Sometimes my mind might be somewhere else, but that's no reason to fake. I just tell my husband not to worry about me.
