Take a few minutes with your family and start a little holiday keepsake — a journal of thanks. In a notebook or journal, have each member of the family write down what they are thankful for this year. If your children are too young to write themselves, transcribe it for them. Each year, take out the journal and read the previous year's entries before jotting down your new thoughts. This is such a fun idea! Our family has been keeping a Christmas journal ever since my husband and I got married. It's even more fun now with the kids adding their photos, comments, and gifts received. A thanksgiving journal seems like a good idea too!
