Listeria Danger Prompts Fruit Recall in 36 States

If you've purchased sliced fruit lately, go and check the expiration date. After listeria was discovered on equipment Missa Bay LLC used to produce apple products, the company, which is owned by Ready Pac Foods Inc. of New Jersery, has issued a voluntary recall of its sliced apple products with use-by dates of July 8 through Aug. 20. No illnesses have been reported from these recalled products.

The recalled snacks have been distributed to 36 states and the District of Columbia, and include various apple, fruit, vegetable, sandwich, and salad packages with "Ready Pac," "Safeway Farms," "Wawa," "Wegmans," "Hannaford," "Burger King," or "McDonalds" labels.

For a full list of the recalled products and their expiration dates, visit Ready Pac.
