The 1 "Little Thing" My Mom Does That Made All the Difference in My Life

Mistaking Girl Babies For Boys and Boy Babies For Girls

Mistaken Baby, Does It Happen More to Girls or Boys?

It doesn't matter if your daughter is decked out in pink with a big bow in her hair, there will always be someone who asks "his" age. The same thing happens when your son wears his "brother" shirt and a stranger compliments you on "her beautiful eyes." People often speak before they assess the situation even when the truth is written on your child's top. But we're curious if you think girls get mistaken for boys more often or the reverse?

My daughter didn't have hair until she was about two years old, and I couldn't resist all the adorable fire truck and ambulance baby clothes out there. So I got lots of "he's so cute!" comments, and I didn't really mind.

What a funny topic! My son has such boyish features and did since he was born (he would be a really ugly girl) but once in a while someone would call him a her. I will say it was usually someone old doing that. Witha little girl on the way, I'm sure I will get lots of people thinking she is a he since she will have some of her brothers hand-me-down blankets and stuff.

Whenever I want to say someone's baby is cute, and it's not clear if it's a boy or a girl, I just say "oh what an adorable little one!"
