The parenting journey can be a lonely one if you don't have anyone to share the highs and lows with. Just ask Soleil Moon Frye, who felt as if every mom had been handed a secret manual for parenting except her. The former actress and Little Seed boutique owner sat down with Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook's marketing director and a soon-to-be mom herself, at the SXSW festival to discuss where moms go for help. For Soleil, social media was the answer: "I turned to social media to connect with other moms like me and realized I wasn't alone, there are a lot of us messy moms out there!"
It seems she wasn't the only one! According to Zuckerberg, moms are the most engaged group on Facebook, using it to share photos, connect with other moms, and seek reassurance that things are normal. Are you surprised that moms have surpassed college kids as the heaviest users of the site?
