As a Montessori teacher of 10 plus years and currently an Administrator of 13 years, I would like to say that the Montessori materials are sensory materials - that is the child must FEEL the heavy cube/block and TOUCH the heavy cube/block in order to understand that is is heavy or light, big or small, etc. The child (not a computer program) will correct him or herself when s/he put a smaller cube below a larger cube and the tower falls. Using a Montessori App is like teaching someone to drive a car on the Wii - it doesn't even come close to the real thing.
