Nurse Donates Kidney to 3-Year-Old Patient

Imagine learning that your child needs an organ donation and that no-one else in your family or friend circle is an acceptable match. Then imagine that someone else, a near-stranger, offers to donate to save your child's life. 

As Kentucky.com reports, a very lucky family in that state has received such a gift. Nurse Beth Warren, who cared for a little boy named Ben Pratt in the neonatal intensive care unit at Kentucky Children's Hospital, offered to donate her kidney to the now 3-year-old boy. 

"To me, he's been just part of my family," Beth said. "I knew this was God's plan for us."
